Our Vigna del Gal Winery is located in Col San Martino, part of
the Municipality of Farra di Soligo, among the hills of Prosecco
Superiore Conegliano Valdobbiadene, declared a Unesco World
Heritage in 2019. Our story began in this unique and wonderful
landscape in the province of Treviso. In 1986, after the death of his father Guido Balliana, Italo inherited small plots of vineyards in an area known for the production of Prosecco Superiore.
In early years, Italo gave the harvested grapes to a local winery and it was only in 1992 that, together with his wife Claudia, he decided to make wine in a small winery under the house. Initially, only one reference was produced: the wine reermented in the bottle (col fondo). Over time, other lands were acquired, in impervious, sunny areas, with considerable temperature variations, difficult to work but certainly optimal for obtaining a distinctive and quality Prosecco. Valuing the strong bond with the land, armed with tenacity and dedication, with sacrifice and passion, today Vigna del Gal is an appreciated reality that produces 7 different types of Prosecco.
Vigna del Gal has nevertheless remained a family business, capable of blending tradition and innovation together, always with enthusiasm to continue producing excellent wines.
