DOCG
The D.O.C.G. (Controlled Designation of Origin Guaranteed) identifies wines that have undergone, prior to marketing, an organoleptic examination carried out by special committees. These committees are joined together by the Chambers of Commerce jurisdiction to ascertain the specific value of the wines and that they are complaiant with the conditions and requirements set out in the product specification. After passing this examination, the producer is awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry with numbered marks corresponding to the quantity of the wine considered. These marks are placed on the seal of each bottle so that they are broken when the bottle is opened.
